Michael Jackson: some information and some questions

 Michael Jackson sold over 1 Billion records worldwide and he is one of three recording artists along with Paul McCartney and Phil Collins and the first American artist who have sold over 100 million  record worldwide both as solo artists and separately as principal members of a band. If Michael Jackson was still alive today he would be 62 years old. A song that made Michael Jackson famous is Thriller.

In the film Boy by Taika Waititi, the main character really loves Michael Jackson.

Harvesting Kuta and KieKie

 Yesterday NHK went to lake Ianthe to collect kuta and we got soaked trying to get them. We brought scissors to cut the kuta but we didn't use them, we just pulled them out. There was some kuta that wasn’t too deep in the water that I got. But the water was pretty cold but before we did anything we did karakia to start and after getting the kuta we also had a swim. So all of us had a feed after our swim and then we harvested some kiakia. We have to strip the green parts off and keeped the yellow parts.

 - sad story - he was a runner and then he got cancer.  He was feeling in pain and depressed, and then he was in remission and he decided to live his best life because he might die soon.   - running with friends, including Ruth

josh went skydiving while he was in remission and he said it was one of the best times of his life. he also went surfing a lot 

in hospital for a year in his 20s

Hangi report: digging the hole

So me and Sapati, Morgan, Messiah and John were digging a hole for the hangi and we found big chunks of glass and concrete and even a stove element. Jake, Fale and Jackson showed us what to do.  We had to dig the hole deep enough to put the food in.  We needed strong arm and back muscles. We had to cover it with dirt and then cloths and big rocks and some more dirt.  It took quite a while but we enjoyed it.  I also went inside and made the stuffing.
